4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who handle it on our behalf and under our instructions, and with others where described below:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosts and protects this website, and runs our support portal at support.castlecomputers.ie.
  • Formspree, Inc. (USA): receives website contact form submissions.
  • GoTo (GoTo Technologies): provides the GoTo Assist remote support tool.
  • Stripe Payments Europe, Limited (Ireland): issues subscription invoices and collects payments by direct debit and card. Stripe is also a controller for its own legal duties, such as fraud prevention; see stripe.com/privacy.
  • Xero Limited (New Zealand): holds our accounting records.
  • Credit reference agencies and trade referees: only if you apply for a credit account.
  • Google Fonts (Google LLC), unpkg.com and cdn.simpleicons.org: supply the fonts, icons and code this website uses. Your browser connects to them directly, so they receive your IP address.
  • Google Maps (Google LLC): our contact page embeds a map showing our office location. Your browser connects to Google directly to display it, and Google may set its own cookies in doing so; see Google's own privacy policy for how it handles this.

We may also share data with our professional advisers, such as accountants and solicitors, with debt collection agencies if an account is unpaid, and with authorities where the law requires it.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

Most of the data we hold is stored within the European Economic Area. Xero is based in New Zealand, which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection for personal data. Some other providers listed above are based in the United States. Those transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where the provider is certified, or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Enquiries from people who do not become customers 2 years from our last contact with you

7. Cookies

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this notice and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.

The one exception is the Google Maps embed on our contact page (see Section 4), which is Google's own cookie, not ours — you can avoid it by using the "Get Directions" link instead of viewing the embedded map.

8. Security

As an IT services company, we protect the data we hold with measures such as encryption, multi-factor authentication and access limited to those who need it.

9. Your rights

Under data protection law you have the right to:

  • get a copy of your personal data;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • restrict or object to our use of it, including where we rely on legitimate interests, and object at any time to marketing;
  • receive your data in a portable format; and
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, email info@castlecomputers.ie. We will reply within one month.

You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, Ireland's supervisory authority, at www.dataprotection.ie.
